the last few days in stanford... an organ recital in the church - pictures and a video below. a really beautiful setting and the church organs were impressive... a farewell luncheon - huge plate of nachos (below) was one lasting impression... the asian theme party which was the grand finale of all the friday night parties, which was a blast - i was one of the judges for a singing competition and decided to do my simon cowell impression. sort of... it was all good-natured fun, at least i hope people saw it that way. the japanese students did a group vocal and really got the crowd going, there was a banghra dance item for which many students and some of their kids joined in. there was a booth that printed t-shirts for us which was cool... there was a certificate presentation for which i wore the suit that i had lugged all the way from home... for all of an hour or something like that. and finally a dinner on my final evening there which i had to skip midway as uncle jerry was coming to pick me. it was tough packing up because i had accumulated quite a bit of stuff in just 6 weeks there but i managed somehow.

and some other random stuff which i thought might be interesting for you guys...
a view of stanford unlike any other...
all in all, it has been a wonderful 6 weeks. having the opportunity to come to such a beautiful campus, putting aside work (most of the time at least) and being exposed to new areas of knowledge, brilliant minds, new friends and experiences is really a luxury and i am truly grateful.
