2017 was the year I would get a sneak preview of what Christmas would be like in a couple of years here in London. It was a short working trip (about a week I think) in October and I was really excited because I finally visited the Emirates Stadium. And a good visit too as we beat Spurs 2-0. Happier times. Anyway, before that, some shots of our own Christmas light-up on Orchard Road.
Not one of the better light displays that year - a bit dull if you ask me. That said, it changes every year, while I realised last year that the lights on Oxford and Regent Streets are the same every year. Those along other stretches do change, such as the one near my office.
To be fair, the Oxford and Regent Street light-ups are well done and classy and have a certain timeless appeal.
That's Marble Arch in the background. This was near the hotel where I was staying.
If I recall correctly, this was called Winter Wonderland - it was in Hyde Park. I didn't go in.
A street off Oxford Street.
And after looking through the year's photos, I realised this had been quite a year too! Uncle Kum Mun got married, Matthew enlisted, I travelled for work to a few countries (Malaysia, UAE, Sweden and of course UK), and then we packed in a short trip to KL with Matt and Ethan in November.
I am your father...
