the way into the university. long wide avenues, it's a really sprawling campus. nice, but not if you have to walk. that's why they rent bicycles i guess. i didn't get one. well not for the whole 6 weeks anyway.
this is the most distinctive tower here. well, it's the only one i have seen so far. it's called the hoover tower, after the former president. think it's the same guy they named hoover dam after.

sculpture called the "burghers of calais" by auguste rodin, the creator of "the thinker" sculpture. it is just outside the church.
this is the oval. people sunbathe and play volleyball here.
